Fοr persons whο don’t know whаt SLP stands fοr іt means Street Legal Performance.
Mу car hаѕ mods already. It hаѕ a 350 small check & 700r4 transmission. It’s a 1988 IROC Camaro.
I’m looking tο slap ѕοmе SLP mods οn іt аѕ well bυt I wanted tο first check wіth ѕοmе car guru’s οn here whο аrе pro Camaro οr јυѕt pro American muscle cars. Bу thе way, іf уου hаνе whatever thing rude οr obnoxious tο ѕау take іt elsewhere, I’m јυѕt trying tο mаkе mу car even better. Thank уου.
Of course SLP will work with your third gen – you have seen their online catalog for your car, right?
SLP has some premier stuff for your chassis as well – I recall their torque arm for the third gens to be one of the best in the biz. They also have a excellent set of intake runners for your TPI – although there are some that are equally as excellent out there, with a small better pricing.
Yes, SLP started with 3rdgen Fbodies…
Pull up their catalog, while there are some better parts choices out there they make a bunch for our cars.
Like said, SLP is a excellent companionship. Their roots is in the third gen F bodys. Thats what they 1st started working with..
Now 25 years shortly are they still the best.. Sadly no. New cars came out and they place their R&D on the new thing..
SLP does make some excellent mods for your third gen, but what use to be fantastic by them has been far passed by other aftermarket compines.
Like suspension. SLP use to be the only place you could get boxed lower control arms, aftermarket panhard rod, etc for these cars..
Now guys like Spohn, BMR, UMI, Jegster, random tech, lakewood, has parts out thats on same price range and much better design than SLP.
My pick for suspension is Spohn. I run his adjstable LCAs, LCA brackets, adj. panhard rod, and a jegster adj. torque arm on my 1988 camaro.
Just do ALOT of reading and research before throwing your money down.. If you aint a member of http://www.thirdgen.org join.. Very excellent site for third gen F cars. Lots of people thats tried lots of parts.. You will get a instant thought on what works and what don’t
