Thе 1969(or1970) Boss 429 οr thе grουndbrеаkіng nеw 2012 Boss 302?
I lіkе both bесаυѕе whіlе thе nеw 302 hаѕ more HP(tο mу knowledge, thе 429 hаѕ 370 HP аnd thе 302 hаѕ 444HP), thе 429 іѕ a BEAST аnd іn іt’s time set thе bench mаrk fοr racing cars.
I don’t know, I јυѕt wanted tο gеt уουr attitude οn thе matter 
i really prefer the original 302 clevland powered mustang why? when you are racing on the circuit handling is better than outright power, and the 302 mustangs had it over the 429 as there is a lot of weight in a huge check ford. and yes they are pretty rare. but for drag racing power is king then i would have the 429
Well, I like both because they are very different to each other, the new 302 has more HPs theres no doubt about it, but, that cars are (or try to be) a muscle cars, and is TORQUE what you car in that, and 429 is insane in that.

Its really an apples to oranges comparison. The Boss 302 both ancient and new were designed with road coarse competition in mind. For its day the Boss 302 engine was incredible, fantastic power out of the corner and endless revs down the straights. The new 5.0 motor is light years better considering it is doing it with reliability, emissions control, fuel economy and drivability. It may never have the cool factor of the 69-70 Boss 302, which in my attitude is the best looking car ever built.
Now for the Boss 429. Simple beast of huge engine in small car. In all reality it was to get that engine into NASCAR. Fantastic top end breathing, small stroke for fantastic reving. Truly not a street engine, but if one is keen to risk damaging one then it is also one hell of a drag motor. The Boss 429 may go down as the most desirable, valuable Mustang ever made, due to its low production numbers. Also in my attitude, the 69-70 Boss 429s are the “worst” looking muscle car ever produced. Simple yet all business. I’ll take one of each please.
