Nice rendition of Joplin/Marshall’s small “cake-walk”. I’m learning this, but on flute! I’m hoping to add? in whem/if I end up going tto Sutter Creek this summer for their RagFest!

By the way, I like the tuning of this piano!

… sympathic,? that, in the end you did a cute mistake… wonderful interpretation, with a steady beat, loving it!

  6. SerenaBlackCat says:

Yes,? the piano is perfect for it!

  7. WiwerGoch says:

    You’re? really excellent!!

  8. MercuryWinds says:

I like this song; especially on an ancient piano like yours. If it isn’t ancient, then it’s a small out of? tune, which is the best while playing ragtime. <3

  9. lilataubenei says:

    excellent job!
    thanx to you an? scott!
(what would ragtime fans do lacking tempo-discussions??????????)

  10. oreothesyrian says:

Fantastic! I’m learning? this song myself! Like it!

  11. oreothesyrian says:

it’s really perfect? tempo. (i reckon)

  12. Squarerig says:

    This is? bootifull!

  13. careyeOhkey says:

Quicker . .asinine .lol. Tempo should be about 100. It’s also in 2/4. So,? as a matter of fact, it’s a lil too slow. From the bottom of your heart. =o)

  14. lilataubenei says:

    slower!?

  15. careyeOhkey says:

In anticipation of I post (make a Swipesy) video. Hit up the 1st video response? to get an thought of the “excitement” I’m talkin’ about! =o)

  16. careyeOhkey says:

Well, after listening it makes me want to make a Swipesy vid and post right here! All the right notes were hit, but where is the excitement?? Yeah, get equipped for a “video response” soon. ? =o)

  18. Kasquar says:

I Like the fact that you reckon your shit don’t stink! A excellent rendition, and I? KNOW it was well played…but I don’t like the fact that u don’t share comments with people that like you…asshole!

  19. Gianluke01 says:

wow, i like this? rag, graeat performance

  20. Doug19752533 says:

try not to alter the written rhythm too much, a cake walk is a specific rhythmic pattern: beat 1 is 16th 8th 16th, beat 2 is 8th 8th, over and over again. other then that, excellent tempo. have heard too many people play this piece way too quick. i usually play it around 70bpm. work persons small technical difficulties, and youll have a excellent interpretation of what? i deliberate a ragtime gem.

  21. mjuniorsc says:

i like it very much! only,? one could play it a small FASTER;…

  22. WeRMayanesian says:

Really lots of people like? the way ragtime sounds on an out of tune piano.

  23. lilataubenei says:

i like it very much! only, one could play it a small slower… i like your bass-line, excellent to? follow!

  24. jeromebarona says:

Wow. I wish I could be a piano expert to play that? music. GOOD JOB!

  25. Keeper1st says:

That’s not right at all. Hiring pianists to play was one of the ways businesses got customers in the door. It was in their best interest to keep their pianos in excellent shape and tuned — and they did, by all accounts.

Unfortunately, pianos that date from? the early 20th century (like my own), tend not to ancient tune very well anymore. You can tune ‘em, but they’ll go funky in a matter of days.
