03 cobra has independent rear suspension, mach is solid rear axle, mach also has aluminum check as where? the cobra has cast iron one. Cobra has copied internals, mach has copied eccentric but not pistons or rods. Mach is 10.1:1 compression, cobra is 8.5:1. Cobra has 6 alacrity T56, Mach as 5 spd T3650. Cobra weighs about 350lbs more than a mach.
Thats the more technical side of it. lol, but the main dif is that the cobra is blown. lol

This was my Mach 1 and? I really wound up going with the Bassani Catted X pipe because for a daily driver it was just to loud for me. Sounded badass but the drone inside the car was honestly loud. Plus I had 4:10 gears which made the car have privileged RPM’s at freeway speeds. I now own an 04 Cobra that has the exact setup I had on my Mach. Borla Stingers cat back and Bassani High Flow Catted X pipe.
why did u place cats on was it 2 loud 4 u did it get deeper with the? cats on

Really There is more that is different between the? mach and the Cobra than just a supercharger. Cobra has different heads with better exhaust ports and Different internals that are fully copied thats why a cobra can handle 800+ hp on the stock build.
cobra- (some of the basic things engine wise) cast iron check, copied internals, eaton supercharger. Mach 1- N/A aluminum check, copied eccentric(manuals) and pistons i reckon. both? are 4.6 DOHC 4v motors.
The? SVT Cobra is Supercharged and the Mach 1 is not.

deciding on a new x? pipe to supplement my stingers but I definately do NOT want any leaks and terrible ground clearance (2inch drop). I’ve dealt with it and it is a pain. How is the mag o/r tru-x as far as fitment/leaks and ground clearance?
It’s so raspy it just doesn’t sound right driving at a snail’s pace. Been REALLY longing to get a mach 1, I like the fact that instead of just the retro designing and shaker with more power they really fitted it with beefier internals and improves suspension and brakes. I just disagree with the heavy cast check. If i get one im looking at putting a catted magnaflow x-pipe and stingers with CAI and a nice tuner so i can place in new gears and? re-calibrate the speedo. Also has shift light and engine data.
Thanks for the comments on the car. The wheels ARE Anthracite bullit wheels 18X10 rear and 18X9 front. I had 295 KDW tires on the rear. Helped with the dig’s with my FFRP 4:10 gears. If you have a mustang then dont settle for stock gears unless your going to do a turbo. Minimum gear choice should be 3:73′s like the new 2011 5.0 GT.? Basically the ancient Mach 1 but with a 302 vs 286.
